The Taliban have taken control of prisons in Afghanistan and released prisoners

Hundreds of prisoners are leaving the jail in the provincial capital Shebergan

The Taliban seized a prison in Afghanistan's northern province of Jawzjan on Saturday. They later released all the prisoners there. The video, which has spread on social media, shows hundreds of prisoners leaving the prison in the provincial capital, Shebergan. The capture of the town of Shebergan was initially met with some resistance, but was eventually defeated by government forces.

According to the UK-based Reuters news agency, Taliban fighters have now stepped up attacks on provincial cities rather than rural Afghanistan. Three Taliban commanders have confirmed the matter. They say their strategy has changed since the recent US airstrikes against the Taliban.

The process of withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan after 20 years of war is underway. Already, 90 percent of US and foreign troops have left. The withdrawal of the remaining troops will be finalized by August 31.

One of the group's Kandahar-based commanders argued with their military chief, "Why would the Taliban abide by the agreement when the United States has not kept its promise?"

Afsandia Mir, a South Asia analyst at Stanford University, said the Taliban were advancing on provincial capitals. Their campaign is not just for pressure, but for occupation. Sources: BBC, Reuters.

A baseless statement: The virtue of fasting the first ten days of Muharram

A baseless statement: The virtue of fasting the first ten days of Muharram

The virtue of fasting for the first ten days of the month of Muharram has been mentioned in several pamphlets entitled The Virtues of the 12 Moon. In the language of a booklet-

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) further said that a person who fasts for the first ten days of Muharram will have the virtue of fasting during the day and worshiping at night for ten thousand years.

This is a baseless fabrication. It is also not found in the book on fake descriptions. A close description is found in the book on fake descriptions-

Whoever fasts for the first nine days of Muharram, Allah will make a tent for him in the air; Which will be one mile in length-width. It will have four doors.

Ibn al-Jawzi rah. After mentioning the above description said-

This is a fabricated narration in the name of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

(This narration contains Musa Attabil) Ibn Hibban rah. Said, Musa Attabil has narrated many false things in the source of Anas; It is not lawful to write or mention them except to express amazement over these (expressions of vanity and its). -Almaujuat, Ibn al-Jawzi, b. 2, p. 199

More notes: Allaalil mashnuah, b. 2, p. 108; Tanzihush Shariah, b. 2, p. 148; Taykiratul Maujuat, p. 116

In fact, the issue of fasting in the first decade of the month came in the case of the month of Zilhaj. In these pamphlets it has been attached to Muharram and great virtues have been added. Umm al-Muminin Hazrat Hafsa Ra about fasting in the first decade of Zilhaj. Narrated from, he said-

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never missed four deeds. The fast of Ashura, the fast of the first decade of Zilhaj (i.e. the first nine days), the fast of three days of each month, the two rak'ahs of Sunnah prayer before Fajr. -Sunan Nasai, Hadith 2415; Sahih Ibn Hibban, Hadith 6422; Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 26339

And the special virtue has been mentioned only in the case of fasting on the tenth day of Ashura or Muharram. Abu Qatada. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ، أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السّنَةَ الّتِي قَبْلَهُ

Regarding the fast of Ashura, I am hopeful that Allah will forgive the sins of the past one year (sagira) by it. -Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1162

It is to be noted that although there is no mention of fasting in the first decade of the month of Muharram, it is generally encouraged to fast in the month of Muharram. Abu Huraira. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

أَفْضَلُ الصِّيَامِ، بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ، شَهْرُ اللهِ الْمُحَرّمُ

The best fast after Ramadan is the fast of Muharram, the month of Allah. -Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1163

Ali Ra. Narrated from: A man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him):

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيّ شَهْرٍ تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَصُومَ بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ؟

Messenger of God! In which month do you instruct me to fast after Ramadan? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) replied:

إِنْ كُنْتَ صَائِمًا بَعْدَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَصُم المُحَرّمَ، فَإِنّهُ شَهْرُ اللهِ، فِيهِ يَوْمٌ تَابَ فِيهِ عَلَى قَوْمٍ، وَيَتُوبُ فِيهِ عَلَى قَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ

If you want to fast in another month after Ramadan, then fast in Muharram. Because it is the month of Allah. There is a day in this month on which Allah has accepted the repentance of many. In the future too, more people will accept repentance on that day. -Jame Tirmizi, Hadith 851

Imam Tirmidhi rah. Said-

Muharram and Ashura by the standards of Sharia

Muharram and Ashura by the standards of Sharia

The new Hijri year started in one year - 1443. Although the Hijri year is Arabic, this year is accepted as the year of Islam and the Muslim Ummah. All Muslims should know.

If no one keeps the news then everyone will be guilty. Because the Hijri year has a huge impact on the lives of Muslims. Its impact and importance in all areas of life is immense. The influence and importance of the Hijri year is immense, especially in determining the date, time and season of worship. Such as: Hajj, fasting, zakat, Eid etc.

                                                             Muharram and Ashura

Muharram is the first month of the Hijri or Islamic calendar. The word Muharram is Arabic, meaning: holy, revered. It is one of the four holiest months mentioned in the Qur'an. Allah the Almighty has said in the Holy Qur'an, "Surely there are 12 months in the reckoning of Allah from the day of creation of the heavens and the earth. Among them four months are honored. This is a well-established provision. So do not wrong yourselves in this. (Surah Tawba, verse 38)

It is narrated in the hadith that Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that one year is the sum of twelve months. Four of his months are highly respected. They are: Zilkad, Zilhaj and Muharram, the fourth is Rajab. (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith No. 2957)

The day of Ashura and its period - The tenth day of the month of Muharram is called Ashura. This month and the day of Ashura have been dignified and majestic since ancient times and are memorable and admirable.

It is good to know that there are two conditions for every act of worship to be acceptable to Allah. One. Worship for the sake of Allah. Two. Worship according to the Shari'ah brought by the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the ways and means described.

It is sunnat to observe the day of Ashura and this is the main period of this day. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) observed this fast himself. Encouraged to keep the Ummah. Therefore, the welfare of the Ummah lies in its full following and obedience.

It is narrated in Hadith No. 165 of Bukhari that Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Madinah, he saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura."

He asked: Why do you fast? They said: This is a good day. On that day God delivered the children of Israel from their enemies; So Moses used to fast on this day. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: We are better than you. Closer to home. As a result, he fasted on that day and instructed others to fast as well. '

In the early days of Islam, Ashura fasting was obligatory. If the fast of Ramadan is made obligatory in the second year of Hijri, then the fast of Ashura is considered optional. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) instructed us to fast on the day of Ashura. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “The best fast after Ramadaan is the fast of Muharram, that is, Ashura. And the best prayer after Farz is the prayer of Tahajjud. ” (Sahih Muslim: 1/356)

Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about the virtues of the fast of Ashura, he said, "This fast erases the sins of the past year." (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1172)

The best method of fasting Ashura is to add a total of two fasts by adding the ninth day or the 11th day with the tenth day of Muharram. Because on this day the Jews observe a fast. Such a method has been described to keep the deeds of the Muslims different from theirs. Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) always said to stay away from imitating the infidels.

Things to be excluded on the day of Ashura: On the day of Ashura, weeping, slapping on the chest, whipping on the back, bleeding oneself and holding mourning processions are not in accordance with the Shari'ah but are against Islam.

In a hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "We have nothing to do with those who slap their faces, tear their clothes and talk about the age of ignorance."

There is no hadith about arranging good food and wearing good clothes on the day of Ashura. If anyone thinks that it is the work of Shariah, it will be bidat or superstition.

Therefore, one should try to learn from this without mourning on the day of Ashura. Another thing to keep in mind: Ashura does not mean the event of Karbala; Many historical events have taken place on this day. The Karbala incident is one of those incidents.

Which contains many educational materials for all Muslims. Therefore, Hussein. It is the duty of every Muslim not to engage in any kind of un-Islamic activities based on its martyrdom and to stay away from all kinds of ignorant rituals.

In short, the things to do this month are fasting, repentance, forgiveness, and other good deeds. It is the sole duty of all Muslims to take care of these matters and to abide by all kinds of superstitions and abominable customs and practices in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah. May Allah grant us the grace to refrain from anti-Islamic acts and to act in accordance with the Shari'ah, Amen.

The nine-trillion-dollar army lost its way in the Taliban attack

In a recent interview with US Radio NPR, a US general who has been in Afghanistan for several years to train the Afghan army said, "What's sad is that the cake was taken out of the oven before it was fully baked."

The US general may have wanted to say that the Americans are returning by forcing the Afghan army to fight before it is fully developed into a professional force.

Eighty percent of the money spent by the United States on rebuilding Afghanistan has been spent on building the Afghan army and security forces.

Until last year, the total cost of the United States in this sector was about 6.9 billion. An additional 3.3 billion has been pledged to the Afghan army this year.

The number of Afghan security forces, including the army and police, is just over 300,000 on paper. An air force has been created. There is a commando army unit whose skills the United States and the Afghan government are very proud of. The cadets of this force have been taken to the United States for training.

But when the Taliban intensified its fight for territory after signing a peace deal with the United States in February last year, the weakness of the Afghan security forces began to be exposed.

That weakness in the Afghan security forces has since caused deep concern in the Kabul government since the Taliban launched a surprise offensive in the city in May.

Gen. Scott Miller, a U.S. military official who has been commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan for the past four years. In June, he could not contain his doubts about the capabilities of the Afghan army. He said Afghanistan was most likely heading for an extremely chaotic civil war.

An analysis by U.S. intelligence agencies leaked earlier this month said the Kabul government could collapse within six months of the withdrawal.

In other words, the Americans are skeptical that the Afghan army can even secure Kabul.

In the past two months, half of Afghanistan's nearly 400 districts have been captured by the Taliban. The four provincial capitals are now under their control. The Taliban claim control of 70 percent of Afghanistan. That is an exaggeration, but Americans acknowledge that more than half of the country is now under Taliban control.

The Long War Journal, a research journal of the Foundation for Defense and Democracy, published a report on the US war against various extremist groups, saying that in July, the Taliban lost control of 54 percent of Afghanistan. Even a few months ago, only 20 percent of the area was completely under Taliban control. The Taliban are expected to take control of 16 of the 34 Afghan provinces before the end of the summer season.

News of the disorientation of the Afghan army and police in various places, especially in remote areas, is circulating every day, even in the Western media.

Hundreds of soldiers are leaving the Taliban without fighting, carrying weapons, vehicles and supplies and taking off their uniforms. They are embracing the Taliban. Many times the Taliban are telling them to go home with some money in their pockets. One month ago, more than a thousand troops defected and fled to Tajikistan.

Video footage of these surrenders is spreading on social media. As a result, the soldiers guarding various outposts and check posts outside the city are feeling more helpless.

Zahid Hossain, a senior journalist in Islamabad, is a well-known analyst of extremist groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He said the United States had spent a lot of money behind the Afghan army, but their professionalism was still highly questionable.

‘It’s just that they have been trained, especially their Special Forces unit has fought well against the Taliban at various times. But those are the things they did when the Americans were with them. But the Afghan troops were not ready for the new situation that would arise after the Americans left. "

Ethnic conflict in the army

Why do they feel so helpless? Zahid Hossain said the Afghan army did not have the equipment, logistics and morale needed to fight a highly skilled, experienced militant group like the Taliban.

Along with that, he said, is the problem of racial segregation. The majority of sepoys belong to the Pashtun ethnic group, but the majority of senior officers are ethnic Tajiks. "There is always a rift, a monogamy."

"And most importantly, the continuing divisions among Afghanistan's ruling elites are detrimental to the morale of any national army in the world."

Besides, there are widespread allegations of corruption at the leadership level of the army. It is almost an open secret that the number of troops shown on the paper is less than the actual number. There are many allegations that the salaries and allowances of the ghost soldiers in the list go to the pockets of the senior commanders.

There have also been reports in the media at home and abroad that many wounded army members have died in hospitals due to lack of treatment or even food. Many times the soldiers do not even get the vehicles to take the dead and wounded comrades to the hospital. There is anger among the common soldiers about all this.

At the same time, it is true that the level of casualties that the Afghan army and police have suffered in recent years is bad for the morale of any country's defense forces. While 6,000 Nato troops have died fighting the Taliban since 2001, the death toll for Afghan police and army members has risen to at least 63,000 since 2008.

Of This fear of death has increased the tendency to surrender.

Questions about the Air Force

An air force capable of providing regular supplies to various distant bases and maintaining the morale of the deployed troops is now crucial for Afghanistan.

That is why the Taliban are now targeting planes and helicopters. They also killed several pilots of planes and helicopters.

Moreover, there are doubts as to whether the foreign technicians working in Afghanistan to keep these helicopters and warplanes in operation will remain. As a result, questions have been raised about the future of the Afghan Air Force.

The situation has become so fragile that the Kabul government is now seeking the help of various anti-Taliban tribal militias. Until last year, however, President Ashraf Ghani was thinking of disarming these militia groups.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has vowed to respond to Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon. He said this in a speech given on television on Saturday. The news agency AFP reported this information.

Last Thursday, Israel carried out the first air strike in Lebanon since 2014. Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel the next day in response to the attack. On the same day, the Israeli army fired at Lebanon. The United Nations has called the retaliatory strikes "very dangerous."

On August 14, 2006, the 33-day war between Israel and Lebanon came to an end. Hezbollah chief spoke on television on the eve of the anniversary of the end of the war.

"We want to tell our enemies that any attack by the Israeli air force in Lebanon must be answered," Nasrallah said. And that answer will be reasonable and proportionate. Because we want to defend our country. "

The Hezbollah chief called last week's Israeli attack "a very dangerous situation." But he also said his organization did not want a war. But Hasan Nasrullah also warned that they are ready for war if necessary. Israel also says it does not want an all-out war gun.

The United States on Friday called on the Lebanese government to stop Hezbollah's rocket attacks on Israel.

In 2007, 1,200 Lebanese were killed in a 33-day war. Most of them were civilians. On the other hand, 160 people were killed on the Israeli side. Later, a ceasefire was reached on 14 August of the same year with the mediation of the United Nations.

In the last few days, there has been an increase in counter-attacks between Israel and Hezbollah. Israeli warplanes launched an attack in southern Lebanon on Thursday.
