Who is Erdogan's challenger in the presidential election?

The name of the country's opposition leader Kemal Kilikdarugul has been officially announced as the challenger of the current President Rajab Tayyip Erdogan in the upcoming Turkish presidential election. The announcement was made after a long controversy with the six -party alliance. The president and parliament will be elected on the same day on May 7. This year's election in Turkey is expected to be the most difficult competition in the country in 5 years.

"Our table is a table of peace," said Kilikadruku, chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in the presence of about two thousand people in Ankara on Monday. Our goal is to take the country to prosperity, peace and joy. '

The opposition coalition has said that if they win, Erdogan's policy will make major changes in the economy, civic department, and foreign policy.

Kilikdaruglu (1) can take the current economic crisis and inflation opportunity in Turkey. Moreover, last month's earthquake can capitalize on misery. The earthquake killed 3,000 people.

But still, there is doubt as to whether this former economist will really be able to defeat Erdogan. Erdogan, who has been in power for a long time in Turkey, has won many elections by showing his charisma.

Five opposition coalition parties agreed on Friday with the nomination of Killikadruglo. However, the country's right-wing IYI party leader Miraal Aksenar said the candidate would lose the election. He recommends the mayor of Ankara or Istanbul be a presidential candidate. However, after the 12-hour exciting discussion, all the parties compromised that the mayor of Ankara and Istanbul would be nominated as Vice President.

Al -Jazeera's movie Koshagl Ankara said that the worst thing to do is that he lost almost all of the elections. However, the popularity of the 'Justice March' from Ankara to Istanbul was in protest against the oppression of journalists and educators after the coup.

The opposition parties in Turkey are quite close now. They took control of a number of important municipalities, including Istanbul and Ankara from Erdogan's AK party in the local elections of the 27th. Source: Al Jazeera
